We are less than 6 weeks from moving, and sheesh! Last week was a pretty good one because I was mainly just having fun with a little bit of working…Wylie and I went to Hot Springs, which he already talked about, but it was quite fun. There were a lot of bikers on the road, so maybe we should have worn more leather to fit in? I liked going on part of the Appalachain Trail–it was on my list of things to do while I lived in this part of the world, but the closest I’d ever gotten before this was the approach trail at Springer Mountain. Unfortunately, traffic in the ATL and me being by myself that day meant that I did not make it the whole way to the AT, so it was a treat last Saturday to get to go on it–but not the steep part, I chickened out. Wylie also got to meet my parents last week! Hooray for that! They are usually in Arizona, which is very far away, but has a similar reputation to Texas–minus being its own country and the drawl. But, I am from Arizona, and I am not a cowboy, a tumbleweed, a cactus, or a rattlesnake….so perhaps people in Texas won’t think they are in their own country or have big belt buckles….but it’s more fun to think that they will. I think the meeting went well. There was a little Nine Mile involved, and a little Biltmore involved. I hope that 3 Blevi wasn’t too much for Wylie…I don’t think it was.
I kept hanging out with my folks…a little time at my house and a little time in New Orleans. I literally made myself sick with all the good food there…or else it was all the weird stuff involved in the muffaltta. Anyway, it was fun. The Ignatius statue is still standing, which I am happy about, as I thought it was gone the last time I was there–turns out it was just covered by construction….whew!
Well…the plan for the next adventure is a little boating, but that’s only if we get the right Qclips this time…who knew something so tiny could make such a big difference!!!
