I am. To 10gallonhat.com…it has been far too long since I made a post, and I am sitting here trying to figure out why that is. Some reasons I can think of that would be cool are:
1. A space slug attached itself to my brain, and made it so that I couldn’t do anything.
2. We had a personal visit from President Obama because he thinks Wylie and I are a couple of happening kids, he ended up staying longer than he planned because he thought correctly.
3. I found out I have super-powers and was out changing the world.
Sooooo…maybe they’re not as true as the fact that I’m a little bit lazy. Also, there were these photos I kept wanting to upload but I still haven’t, and that was keeping me from posting. That isĀ a horrible reason.
Anyway–we have been having some fun. Nothing super raucous or anything, but fun. I will work backwards again…
Last Night–The Fighting Squirrels (the softball team we are on) fully trounced the team we were playing 14-1. HOLLA THAT! Wylie even hit a home run! I think we only have 4 more weeks of games, and that seems like it has gone by very fast! Also, before the game I was very nearly attacked by a large, friendly looking dog. We were playing some warm-up catch and I missed the ball, and it went over by this dog–it must have been startled, but it started growling at me and charged me a little. I did not like it. He did not break the skin, but I have 2 little marks on my leg as a result of the incident. The dog’s owner came over very fast and stepped in.
Last Weekend–We have not been very good about going on adventures lately, which is ok. We did go contra dancing though–and I really think it’s a fun thing to do. True, we are generally the youngest folks there by 20 years, but it’s still fun. We were told we were “so cute” when we let loose our “Gypsy” move on that crowd. They were right! We also saw The Invention of Lying at the movie theater. It was good, there were some funny bits, but overall it was not everything I had hoped it would be. Perhaps my expectations were too high since I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ricky Gervais…wait for Netflix. That’s what I would do if we were to have a “do over”.
Upcoming Fun! There are some things to look forward to coming up…
Tuesday–I am taking a kayaking “roll” class at the rec center. I am hoping not to die or get water up my nose.
Friday–Obama is coming here!! To give an award to a volunteer organization–the Helpline at the SCS is in the running, and they are very excited.
Soon: We are going to San Antonio for a weekend adventure! We would like to go to Houston, and we are going to PHX on NOv. 21…so check back often!
In parting…we have been catching up on a lot of TV shows on Hulu.com–mainly because I am so tired at the end of the day and want to be lazy…but if you have been watching Modern Family, I have to say that the portrayal of Costco took my breath away. They absolutely captured what it is like to fall in love with the ‘Co!

I *think* that that picture is from Rosie Pho’s, am I mistaken? That’s the only place I know in town where you can get bubble tea.
Yup, that is where the picture was taken. I am not too sure about the bubble tea, mainly because of the bubbles. They weird me out a little.
