I have heard that a few people have been having trouble viewing the videos I have been posting. I want to try and fix that so everybody can view them.

The videos are all Flash files (or if you rather, .swf files). They are all hosted over at Vimeo and I just embed them here. Vimeo has a handy page about updating your Flash player located here. They recommend using Flash 10.0.0, and over at the Vimeo Flash checker page they determine your player version, and have links for downloading a more recent version, if you need to.

Hopefully this will help and everybody will be able to “enjoy” watching the videos. If you still can not after heading over to Vimeo please send us an email over here.

I have noticed quite the spike in traffic the past couple days here at 10gallonhat.com. Welcome to all the new visitors, and thanks for stopping by. I just wanted to point a few helpful things out to everybody.

1. We have an RSS feed on this website so you can get any updates to the site in your favorite RSS Aggregator. I am a big fan of Google Reader and use it to keep up on many different feeds (I got curious as to how many feeds I subscribe to and was shocked at the total number: 234. Yipes!). Anyways, here is where you can access our RSS feed.
2. The images here on the site enlarge. Click on them and watch them grow right before your eyes!
3. We have a handy search page on the site. This searches the entire web at the moment, but I want it to only search 10gallonhat.com and a couple other websites. This should be fixed shortly I hope.
4. In addition to the search field, we have a tag cloud over to the right. You can click on those in order to quickly find all posts tagged with that word. The larger the word, the more posts we have tagged with that tag.
5. We have ads on our site. Ads are evil, I know, but we actually get a few cents each time you click. This is going to help us maintain the site, and hopefully buy a soda or two at Sonic. So, if you like coming here, or subscribing to our feed, go ahead and click on the ads once  (please don’t go crazy with the clicking, that won’t help, it will actually be bad) when you visit.
